Old Site, New Journey

I can’t believe how much time I let slip since my last post. Lingering effects of 2020 perhaps. Or just too focused on sewing as much as possible. Probably the latter. With that, let’s go on a journey, documenting the next ten years. Why the next ten years? Because in that time, I will be able to retire and while I still have to work daily during the week, my spare time is going to be preparing. Preparing to dive into the fashion industry, some way, some how. Currently that means taking prerequisite art classes, building my garment construction skills and networking with people who share my fashion philosophies. If I am going to (hopefully) start a business, I’m going to need a network of like-minded individuals for support.

Drawing 101, not my favorite way to pass the time but the secondary skills learnt will be invaluable to my growth as a designer.

Stay tuned for updates on how the 1890s ladies vest patterns came out, reviews of projects old and new and discoveries as I embark on this journey….
